You may well decide that total relaxation is what you need, in which case you need not leave Glenbriar Homestead. You are welcome to spend your day strolling the gardens or admiring the views. You can watch the abundant bird life (binoculars and guide book provided); amongst the many bird species in the area, you will see Fairy Wrens at play and the magnificent Wedge Tail and Sea Eagles soaring the thermals.
Perhaps you might like to just relax and contemplate the majestic old evergreen Magnolia tree (flowering late December to March), where it is reputed the famous American author, Mark Twain, once rested on his travels in Tasmania. For your interest there is a basket of “finds” on the verandah for you to ponder over. These items have all been picked up over the last year or so, during renovations to the property.
And you are welcome to explore the property. In its time it has seen eras as a farm, a commercial orchard, a private home, and now our home and B & B business. We have sympathetically restored the house and grounds for this purpose and we will be continuing that work for some time - it is our 'labour of love'.
